first thing we did was to load up the sound system, tv and wii. setting up of the sound system took some time, but it was well worth it. haven’t get to fully utilise it yet as we’re waiting to get a bluray player.

after that, the plan is to get the sound system unpacked into the living, while waiting for the tv console to come. not that i’ve bought it yet, but i reckon things should fall into place soon.

master bedroom is looking good right now, along with the kitchen. so it shouldn’t be too difficult.

next wed would be my mid-term jap intermediate test and i’m really wondering how to slot in time anymore to do revisions. ちくしょう!

another contractor should also be at my master bedroom toilet, installing water heater and changing a new toilet bowl too..

apart from all these reno talks, i’m basically jus too tired to do anything else. i wanna catch a movie, but it’s long overdue and we don’t have the time for it. as time has always been a luxury, it seems even more far-fetched now.

oh yea, is anyone playing the new remake of secrets of monkey island?

camera ran out of batteries and i can’t seem to find my charger anywhere.. so i guess i’ll leave it to the end and compile a whole gallery. shall post all the pics taken from day 1 whenever it’s ready. lol.

next week will be doing more finishing touch to the cabinet and installing the 2 wardrobes for my master bedroom! seems like this weekend will be a good time to paint the new cornice and clearing out the space in my master room for the installation.

oh! tomorrow the hdb people will be coming over and let us choose floor tiles for the common bath/toilet. why? thanks to my neighbour downstairs complaining of water leakage that hdb need to come over to my unit and install some water sealer and thus gotta hack the current tiles and change my toilet bowl too. and all for a fraction of a cost! i mean like a quarter! lucky~ but the downside is, we won’t be able to use the toilet for 3 DAYS! omg.

we were glad to have greg and gin coming over to help us painting on saturday. with more hands on the job, it was less painful especially with painting, touching up, cleaning, moving stuffs around the house etc. thanks buddy!

also, my long-awaited home theatre system has finally arrived! but alas, there seem to be missing hdmi cable that was promised to be free. sheesh. quite pissed with the way courts staff handled my purchase.

on sunday, my parents came over to help out around the house as well.
over the weekend, we managed to paint the kitchen and master bedroom as well as cleaning up some of the kitchen sink area and mending the toilet sinks.

more things to look out for this week as there will be installation of cornice, speaker wire routing and hang up the fans on tuesday and kitchen cabinet installation, bi-fold toilet doors and fixing up the remaining of the switches.

apart from that, came home to a huge mess after day 2 of lighting and rewiring works. today was even more messy due to more drillings in the kitchen and living.

it will continue again the next day, with hopes that the works could finish before I can start painting. *pray*

new lights were fixed for the study room and master bedroom. fan sockets are ready and a new aircon wiring was laid due to the previous wire being too old and short. another new wiring was laid for our built-in steamer oven, thus the current switchbox gotta be replaced.

for today, according to uncle steven, we’ll be getting our rubbish chute changed and master bedroom aircon blower shifted.

and yea, will be going for my graduation ceremony tonight! *excited*
pretty tough week.

EDIT: seems like the lighting and wiring works can’t finish on time. might even need to extend till tomorrow or monday.

this morning, uncle steven called and we confirmed some details and work will start on wednesday! fixes for the lights and rewiring, relocation of switches etc will take 2 days to complete. after which, this weekend will be the time to paint the house!
