On my second return to capture some of the iLight installations, I made this photograph of the Merlion. I was waiting for the Merlion to be lighted up (it starts at 7.30pm, btw) and couldn’t resist taking the opportunity to try out the LEE Big Stopper. Albeit pleased with the results, I believe that I should be able to make more outstanding pictures. I really can’t wait to explore more of Singapore and Malaysia to make more landscapes.
I took the opportunity after work to make some photographs at the iLight festival at Marina Bay. This particular scene was iconic right before MBS was constructed. One could easily identify this is indeed Singapore just by one glance. Nevertheless, it’s still popular simply because it’s the heart of Singapore’s financial district. Our very own Wall St, if you will. =)
Personally, I have always felt that the ticket price for Universal to be a tad too expensive. @ $70+ per ticket, I couldn’t justify myself to go in. Nevertheless, standing in front of the gate is always FREE! =)
We were out filming an mtv for our wedding with Noel when I spotted this bugger resting on a tree branch. Can’t help but move closer and shoot the little guy down. They can really do some serious camouflage if they really want to!

Fancy playing a “Sim Tower-like” game on your iPhone? I got hooked to this cool game from Kairosoft and I just can’t get enough of it! The graphics are plain, simple but cute! LOL! Previously from Kairosoft, I’ve also played Game Dev Story, Pocket Academy and Hot Springs Story.
Nevertheless, Mega Mall Story is a game where you’re involved in a building management simulation. In short, build yourself a Vivocity, or an ION Orchard if you like. As you progress through the years, you will get to unlock new shops, upgrades, nearby investment opportunities as well as (in)famous regular customers.
Does the game ever end? Yes and no. Well, literally you get to play unlimited number of years, but to really make it count, the game calculates your game clear points based on the first 16 years. Subsequent games that you start new will have some stuffs unlocked from the previous games.
For a small sized game (the game is only 11.6MB in size) it packs a lot of fun and depth. If you belong in the OCD category, give this game a try!

Time to shift the 42″ Panny plasma to my study room and hook it up to my PC. Then, save up for a 50″ (I could go crazy on the size, but given my living room’s size anything larger than 50″ will be wasted) Full HD plasma with 3D. Just so that the new tv will be able to play 3D blurays and 3D-enabled games on the PS3 =)

Looking for a good solemniser in Singapore is akin to watching blockbuster movies that are released during the first week. Back in February, I was researching on the process for getting solemnised outdoors. We have to invite a solemniser to our preferred venue on the day of our solemnisation. Ok, that sounded easy as I went through the whole list of solemnisers from ROM. For the fun of it, I contacted a JP randomly from the list and I was told that it was still early to book him for our ROM. Hmm, fine.
As I read the marriage filing instructions on the ROM website, it seems be it outdoors or indoors, we still need to observe the filing notice of 3 months before our date. It was also recommended that we should look for a solemniser around this period of time. I was dead wrong.
Having a list of recommended solemnisers (after much crawling on google and singaporebrides) I began to contact each of the Justice of Peace (JP). One by one, I was getting rejected and day by day, I started to panic. MC and me thought to ourselves that we were too late in contacting the JPs, hence all the good ones are not available. What the heck.
I supposed I was refused by nearly twenty JPs until Dr William Chung agreed to be our solemniser. It certainly was a relief. As our date is October 30th, we still can’t file for our marriage as of today. I have to advise anyone who plans to get married to be SUPER KIASU, if you want an outdoor ROM with a recommended solemniser. At least try to contact them 6-8 months before your date. I know some brides book 1 year in advance. =\
