fatigue was catching up quickly. we couldn’t get up early for the morning snorkeling session. gosh. feeling guilty for wasting 1 snorkel trip, we woke and washed ourselves up and went straight for brunch. seeing that it’s the last day and the afternoon session would be the final session for the trip, we went ahead with an open mind and tried to enjoy fully before returning to singapore.
it’s gonna be another open sea snorkel and the location is near to yesterday’s, only that its on the other side of the really small island. imagine the island, the size of a basketball court or thereabout. water is cold but manageable. the moment the ferries anchored, we were among the first to get into the sea. i wanted to get a photo of myself taken by the staff using their underwater camera.
i signaled mc that i wanted to have my photo taken and she nodded ok. another diver pushed me into the water and swam away before the photographer shoots. took a few underwater shots while wearing the life jacket. i looked very silly in all the shots. @_@ a good thing, however was the diver managed to pull mc to take photo with me! she didn’t want to dive into the water, so we just posed on the surface.
i’m not sure if it was because of our open-mindedness or was it purely phenomenal. the view under the sea this time is truly breathtaking. sun-rays pierced through the surface shining down on the corals and seabed. colourful fishes and anemones shone even more brightly compared to the previous snorkels. visibility was definitely clearer than yesterday’s. we didn’t encounter any sharks, rays or turtles but we saw lionfish! well, usually clownfishes were small right? but i was very sure i saw one that is as large as my palm.
times always passes by fast when you’re enjoying yourself. we were soon back to the resort. i would have gone to the beach straight to get some tan but i wouldn’t want to leave my fiancée alone. so we washed up and changed into clean clothes and went strolling along the beach together. dinner went as normal. the buffet spread still draws the same amount of crowd.
after dinner, i thought we should just chill out at the beach bar and sip some long islands, but mc wasn’t up for it. so we ended up sitting near the bar listening to the live band. apparently it was drizzling, and the live band shifted into the main lobby’s stage. everyone crowded around and listened to them sing chinese, cantonese, malay and english songs. the breeze was comfortable, gentle on the skin and doesn’t leave it sticky as usual seabreeze would. we chatted, watched people walked past us numerous times and also posed weird faces at each other. lol.
it was getting late and we have to get up early to check out and get ready for our flight back.
