we had a briefing upon reaching the resort, explaining the various activities and the various buildings within the resort itself. the guide told us there will 2 snorkelling trips daily, one in the morning at 9.30am and another in the afternoon at 3pm. 2 deadlines only! how cool is that?

afterwards, we were treated to a tram ride (think mandai zoo’s tram) from the resort’s jetty to the lobby for registration and check-in. the welcome drink tastes funny, i think it was soursop mixed with something else, but we didn’t enjoy it. registration went pretty quick and we headed for our buffet lunch before checking in. during this period, i told mc that i need the restroom, but in actual fact i was arranging a private dinner for day 2. i guessed i must have been gone for long, she came down looking for me, oops!

the buffet lunch was somewhat normal. not the best you can imagine but it wasn’t bad either. thinking that we are kinda new to the place and wanted to explore the resort first, we didn’t rush for the 3pm snorkelling slot. we took our time and went around taking photos and checking out the “more more tea inn”, now converted into a gift shop. it was very close to the beach and we were surprised with the clarity of the waters! we quickly went back to our room and changed into our swimwear, grabbed the lifejackets and our new snorkels and masks and jumped into the sea! lol.

snorkelled for around 2 hours and we got hungry. went back to the room to wash up and proceeded to the dining hall for more buffet!
