redang 2010

redang is simply beautiful! probably one of the most beautiful islands in malaysia. located in the south china sea off the northeast coast of peninsular malaysia within 5°44′ – 5°50′ north latitude and 102°59′ – 103°5′ east longitude and lies about 45km north-northeast of kuala terengganu, the state capital of terengganu, and about 22km off tanjung merang, the closest point on the mainland.

while i hoped to spend at least 5D4N there, mc was happy with 4D3N arrangement. we arrived at laguna redang resort around 1pm after spending 75mins on a 68-seater private plane from seletar airport to redang airport, 10 mins on a shuttle van from airport to the jetty, and some 15mins ferry ride from the jetty to the laguna redang resort’s own jetty. it wasn’t at all tiring although i think spending some 10 hours by coach would be worst off.
