The Merlion

On my second return to capture some of the iLight installations, I made this photograph of the Merlion. I was waiting for the Merlion to be lighted up (it starts at 7.30pm, btw) and couldn’t resist taking the opportunity to try out the LEE Big Stopper.

Albeit pleased with the results, I believe that I should be able to make more outstanding pictures. I really can’t wait to explore more of Singapore and Malaysia to make more landscapes.

Singapore

I took the opportunity after work to make some photographs at the iLight festival at Marina Bay. I was kinda camping at Esplanade’s Outdoor Theatre and listening to some music played by some Korean band and enjoying my light dinner just by the river.

People were busy taking photos left and right and I was tempted. I took out my newly acquired tripod (albeit 2nd hand) composed the scene, pressed the shutter and waited for about 65 secs for the exposure to complete.

I was really glad I took this shot and it quickly became one of my personal favourites.

MBS

I never had the chance to go Esplanade and admire the view of the Marina Bay Sands ever since I got my dslr. Armed with my new 10-22mm, I just have to shoot this photo. Being able to take ultra wide certainly has its perks!

Singapore cityscape

This particular scene was iconic right before MBS was constructed. One could easily identify this is indeed Singapore just by one glance.

Nevertheless, it’s still popular simply because it’s the heart of Singapore’s financial district. Our very own Wall St, if you will. =)

Universal Studios

Personally, I have always felt that the ticket price for Universal to be a tad too expensive. @ $70+ per ticket, I couldn’t justify myself to go in. Nevertheless, standing in front of the gate is always FREE! =)

Casino @ RWS

It’s my maiden visit to the Resort World Sentosa. It’s been opened for quite sometime but I never got around to actually the time to come here.
