spent the entire saturday noon preparing a special bday dinner for mc. i did have some reservations about preparing food myself, thinking how it could have turn out inedible and ruin the night. thankfully mc was supportive and we went to get the ingredients together.
menu for the simple 3 course dinner:
starters: chawanmushi
main course: karaage udon & ebi tempura
dessert: tiramisu
lol, didn’t think i could whip up some dishes at all. turns out that the meal was alright!
tiramisu was tasty except i’ve added a wee too much rum into it. good to know that tiramisu is actually quite easy to make. hehe..

happy birthday baby~ *muacks*
そうですね.
it’s that time again. japanese test, this time intermediate 2, mid-term. admittedly, i’ve haven’t been able to properly learn the language on my own time due to house-spring cleaning. thankfully, a group of us in the class started a japanese language study group. some of the pages in the japanese section on this blog are contributed by them!
the house is still lacking furnitures, which will come around end oct. plasma tv is in, and now deciding between bluray player or a media network player. wii on the plasma looks great although i bet ps3 on full hd would definitely own any other consoles.
oh yea, m1 announced they will be selling the iphone soon! seriously hope the pricing would be competitive, and given that m1′s fixed broadband beats starhub and singtel’s plans flat; there’s a good chance their phone and data plans could be cheaper too. *pray* lol
Learn Moreit’s the time to eat mooncakes and drink tea while admiring the moon! lol
we have mooncakes from intercontinental, courtesy of starhub and we bought some swensen’s ice cream mooncake earlier today. hopefully it doesn’t rain later cos we plan to walk around the neighbourhood carrying lanterns! =D
Learn Moreit’s really a long time since we both went out together. well this morning we went for miele‘s cooking class and best of all it’s free!
was kinda expecting the sales or the chef for the event would hardsell miele’s products but we were glad that wasn’t the case. they had 12 people anticipated for the class but at 9.30am only 4 turned up. the other 2 is a german middle aged engineer and his singaporean wife. the class went well with good introduction of their ovens and other accessories. we sort of knew what we wanted and attended this class for the fun of it. didn’t have any photos taken on the 3-course brunch cos we thought it might be rude to the chef.
anyway, after the class, since we were around orchard, it’s time for quick shopping! lol
bought some necessities from OG. went to ion for a walk and some snacks at watami to fill our stomach rest our legs. panasonic was having some f1 roadshow and inevitably i saw some plasmas on display! quickly went down after the food; asked for quick quotation on the plasma and briefly hesitated. in the end, the salesman gave me a $600 slash with $150 vouchers from taka/best denki. i knew the pricing around singapore as i was calling around jus a day ago. this had to be the best offer. paid up and signed for it. now i’m waiting for the tv to be delivered next saturday. *excited*
