arranged with greg to go to his church on sun morning. was nice to see lynette and stanley at the church.
after the morning soy bean with 油条 near the church, we were jus simply crapping away. just about before leaving the place, i thought of heading over to qisahn’s shop and look at the guitar hero: world tour band kit. mc wanted to try out the drums and she knows i’ve always wanted to play guitar hero on the wii (i’ve got gh3 and gh:metallica games but without the guitar). good old greg and gin had nothing on after the brunch so the four of us headed over to orchard in greg’s nifty honda fit.
arrived at the shop, but it wasn’t opened for business yet. waited a while outside and more people came and waited as well. until i saw a familiar face, the boss’ mom arrived with 2 gh:wt band kits on a trolley! immediately rushed in to enquire about it as well as the wii fit. gh:wt @ $268, wii fit @ $133. total cost $401 (ouch) for the video game investment.
after a short lunch in town, we went to greg’s place to get his controllers + guitar. i had the opportunity to ask greg if i could test drive his car. it was a smooth ride, pretty much lightweight and ease of handling. i’m a manual guy, but driving on auto transmission didn’t bring much of a problem, except i’m not used to _not_ stepping on the clutch at certain point while driving. overall, i thought i was kinda slow on the road, but the girls thought otherwise. heh, sorry to scare ya guys, i’d drive a little slower if there’s a next time.
right, so we reached my place, and all of us can’t wait to get the band kit out! we took out the set immediately, greg and i fixed the drum, while gin helped to fix the guitar and mc prepared some drinks for the rock session.
played world tour, metallica and conclusion: damn it was good to have every player participating. vocalist, guitar lead, bassist and drummer. whoohoo! gin rocked the drums and even mc could tell that playing on the drums is like so exciting~
there were slight issues with the drums however, i felt that the sensitivity if rather stiff. later on, i found out that the makers of the game put up a tuner for the drum. so i’ve gotta try that out when i can so make the gameplay more enjoyable for mc.
next, we tried out the wii fit. well actually it’s more of letting greg and gin have a go at it cos i’ve played it before during my trip in hk. but anyway, the balance games were fun and some of exercises were kinda over the top for me. lol. my balance isn’t all that good, but hey i can’t help it. my bmi’s the highest among us.
really gotta thank my buddy greg and gin for giving us a lift home after getting the humungous band kit. was a pleasure to have them over and witness the christening of my world tour and it was the first time i had a 4-player session on my wii!
