PC SHOW pt 2!
lol so i went to pc show earlier. surprisingly, despite economic downturn, it seems that people are still willing to shop. anyhoo, city hall mrt was jammed with people. well it usually is, but today it was exceptionally packed. wriggled my way through citylink till suntec and eventually to my destination – the samsung booth.
it didn’t take me long to notice my targetted panel – the outstanding rose black design and its super rich vibrant colours put the other models to shame. clearly it was without challenge. the pricetag? hefty $488.
i was hoping there would be some discounts or at least some freebies thrown in as a gesture of goodwill, but alas. the staff from best denki bluntly refused to bugde. and so i left while mentioning that it’s even cheaper to buy from sim lim directly.
true enough, i left the show empty handed AGAIN. on the way home, i thought to myself, it’s not that i can’t afford to buy the monitor. heck, mc wanted to get me one, but i guessed her budget is probably half of what i wanted. perhaps she thought there’s no need to get something so expensive.
well well, i’m sick of small screens at home and at work. my only consolation is the 20″ imac sitting in a corner in my bedroom, ever used mostly to watch tv and movies. heck, i’m jus gonna be a designer that doesn’t get exposed to new technologies first hand.
ok back to my game which i’ve been playing for 2 years now. eff.
thinking of dropping by later to catch a glimpse of some lcd monitors. been wanting to change my monitor, and i think it’s high time to get a 24″ mon these days. should last me a pretty good 5 years minimum provided there’s no fault with it.
